Who We Are

Dillon Joyce Ltd. is led by Tom Hedrick. Tom has been investing in private equity and venture capital since 1995. Since that time he has invested in 20 companies and advised countless others.

Tom’s prior professional experience includes:

15 years at McKinsey and Company where he was elected a Director (senior partner) of the firm. While at McKinsey, Tom was the Dallas office and location manager for 6 years, a co-leader of the high tech and private equity practices and the global leader of the semiconductor practice.

8 years in private equity heading his own firm, acting as a venture partner to Vortex Partners and SSM Partners and leading Sammons Enterprises’ corporate development efforts.

Start up experience co-founding two companies (Crimson Resources and RealManage) and serving as the COO at RealManage.

5 Years at Exxon Company USA as an engineer and engineering supervisor.

Non Profit experience serving the Department of Defense on Semiconductor strategy. Serving as the President of a school board of Texas’ largest private elementary and middle school. Board member of the Alliance for Catholic Education Consulting Group.

Tom holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.

Tom and his wife Madeleine have three children. During his spare time, Tom hikes and skis near his second home in Durango, Colorado. He also runs about 30 miles per week and is always up for a good read or a Notre Dame football game.
